Robert Lamarr Carver
Robert Lamarr Carver,79, passed away Wednesday, May 23 2012 from a long and courageous battle with heart disease. He was born in Cashmere, WA to George and Alta Carver on November 30, 1932. He attended school in the Cashmere and Ephrata School Districts. Following high school education he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Gunner's Mate on the USS Yorktown during the Korean Conflict. Following his Honorable Discharge, Robert married Shirley Elizabeth Russell in Bremerton on December 31, 1955. They had four children: Mike, Steve, Ken, and Lori. They resided in both Bremerton and Silverdale, WA.

On August 27, 1943, in Brigham City, Utah, she married Lynn Whitaker and they made their home there. During this time they were blessed with four children, Roger, Dee, Linda, and Bart. In 1952 Fern and her family moved to Moses Lake and they purchased a farm in Block 42. Fern was engaged in farming all of her life. She and Lynn had been married for 64 years when he passed away in 2007. Fern enjoyed gardening, yard work, bingo, attending her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's ballgames, and her church activities. She was a member of the LDS Church (6th Ward). Fern is survived by her sons Dee (Kay) Whitaker and Bart (Penny) Whitaker, her daughter Linda (Lee) Eslick, 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Lynn, son Roger, grandson Bret, and her parents.

Judy (Judith) Kay Johnson was born in Bronson, Kansas on July 25, 1940 to Elva G. Murrow and James "Sam" Reynolds. She was their only child and the light of their lives. She moved with her parents from Kansas to Ellensburg, Washington in 1947. She attended elementary school in Ellensburg before moving to Moses Lake, Washington. She attended schools in Moses Lake and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1958. Judy was very active in school, from cheerleading to baton twirling. She met Tom M. Johnson in high school and they were married February 28, 1959. Judy and Tom had three children, Dana (Todd) of Maple Valley, Washington, Mikki of Moses Lake, and Joey, who preceded her in death. Judy was the happiest being with her kids, which included the Moses Lake Legion Baseball Team for 16-18 year olds. She was the scorekeeper, the team mom, and the confident. You could always go to Judy for help, and she always had some advice. She passed away April 13, 2012 with her daughter Mikki by her side. Judy is also survived by her grandchildren Whitnie, Sam, Darin, and Travis, and a great grandson Sammy. Judy fought a gallant struggle with Alzheimer's and her family is very grateful for the wonderful care she received at Summerwood Alzheimer's Care Unit in Moses Lake. There will be a service at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on May 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.

He maintained his love of literature and poetry, great music, traveling, improving his foreign language skills and chocolate cookies. Ada Lorraine Solberg, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at her longtime home in Warden on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the age of 79. Lorraine was born August 28, 1932 in Moscow, Idaho. She was the daughter of William and Mildred Mushlitz and was the oldest of three children.
