Season ends for Chiefs

YAKIMA - Moses Lake hit the road for a single elimination game againstĀ  the Davis Pirates Tuesday looking to extend its season.

But unfortunately, the Chiefs came up on the short end of the scoreboard as the dropped the contest 4-2.

The loss knocked Moses Lake out of post-season play.

The Chiefs took an early 2-0 lead in their first at bat. The Pirates answered back with two runs in the bottom of the first inning to tie the game 2-2. Davis went up 3-2 in the bottom of the second, then held Moses Lake without a run the rest of the way, while adding another run in the bottom of the fourth to complete the come from behind win.

Both teams had six hits on the day, but the Chiefs Achilles Heal raised its ugly head one last time as Moses Lake committed three costly errors in the game.

Chase Tunstall went the distance on the bump and was tagged with the loss.
