INET busts drug house near Moses Lake school

MOSES LAKE - The Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) arrested two people and seized more than five ounces of marijuana from a house in the Larson area.

On Thursday at about 9:45 p.m., INET detectives and Grant County Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant at a residence on Arlington Drive, just north of Moses Lake.

The investigation was a response to citizen complaints about suspicious activity at the house, which is situated about 700 feet from North Elementary School, according to Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones.

INET found approximately 147 grams of suspected marijuana inside the home, including 16 grams portioned and packaged in plastic sandwich bags.

The home's occupants, Jake Avery Allen, 23, and Sabrina M. Pool, 27, were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver in a school zone. Avery Allen was booked in the Grant County Jail and felony charges are pending against Pool, who was reportedly released to care for her children.

"We really appreciate and encourage the public to let us know when they think something is not right in their neighborhood," stated Jones. "In this case, INET was able to stop a suspected drug house near a school, and I applaud them for their work."
