Notice of Application Proposed SEPA DNS

Notice is hereby given that a SEPA Checklist was received by Grant County on April 20, 2012 from WHB Trust, DESIGNATED CONTACT:  Jamie Washburn, Teton West of WA LLC, 5802 N Industrial Way, Suite A, Pasco, WA  99301, (509) 543-9510; and were found to be technically complete on May 7, 2012.

Notice is hereby given that a SEPA Checklist was received by Grant County on April 20, 2012 from WHB Trust, DESIGNATED CONTACT:  Jamie Washburn, Teton West of WA LLC, 5802 N Industrial Way, Suite A, Pasco, WA  99301, (509) 543-9510; and were found to be technically complete on May 7, 2012.   Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared.  This may

be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures.  A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained

upon request.  PROJECT:  This proposal is to construct a 63,460 sq ft potato storage shed on a 189.14 acre parcel of land.  No fill is required for this project.  The site will be graveled after construction is complete to protect from wind erosion.  ZONING: Agriculture.  ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: Building Permit.  STUDIES SUBMITTED: None.  CONSISTENCY STATEMENT:  This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with the Grant County Code, International Building Code and International Fire Code.  LOCATION: The subject parcel is one mile south of 4 Road SW and east of Dodson Road SW, in the northwest portion of Section 34, Township 18 N, Range 26 E, W.M., Grant County, WA.  PUBLIC HEARING:  None.  Copies of the application materials for File #12-5677 are available from RoseMary Dart, Assistant Planner at the Grant County Planning Department at 457 1st Avenue NW, P.O. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 620; office hours are 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm, Monday - Friday.  Comments must be submitted no later than 5 pm May 24, 2012 to the Planning Department.  All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile.  All persons, agencies or tribes have the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code.
