ROYAL CITY - It was a rough day last Tuesday for the Royal Knights in their final regular season baseball games, falling to powerful Kiona-Benton, 14-6 and 14-3.

But the Knights hardly have time to lick their wounds. They host LaSalle today in the first round of the district playoffs.

"We played them early in the year and came away with a split," coach Daren Christensen said. "The team has been working hard and is looking forward to winning some district games.

The Ki-Be losses were a matter of too much Dalton Morgan. The Bears power hitter slugged four home runs and drove in 11 runs.

Morgan had a three-run homer in the first inning of the first game. He had a two-run homer to start the second game, and it just kept getting worse from there.

"We actually hit the ball hard but right at people," Christensen said. "Their balls were not always hit hard but were finding the grass.
