Moses Lake fares well on links

WALLA WALLA - The Chiefs finished the regular season in fine fashion as the team placed fourth at the last POD match of the year. Moses Lake finished with a team score of 406. Richland (341) took first, host Walla Walla (390) was second, Wenatchee (394) placed third, Chiawana was fifth with 411, and Davis and Eisenhower scores were incomplete.

"The Chiefs had another solid day Monday,' coach Lonnie Brown said. "We were led by Kristi Brown's 97 and Terrin Utter's 100."

Vanessa Goodwin carded a 102, Vinci Rios had a 107, and Megan O'Neill finished with 117.

The Bombers Kristin Strankman was the low round medalist with a 76 on the par 72 course at Veterans Memorial.

Moses Lake finished fourth in the CBBN standings as well. Richland took first, Wenatchee placed second, and Walla Walla ended up in third place. Chiawana placed fifth, Davis was sixth and Eisenhower finished in last place.

The district tournament gets underway Monday in Richland. The top 33 golfers will be invited to participate in the event.

The Chiefs will be represented by Vannessa Goodwin, Kristi Brown, Terrin Utter, Vinci Rios, Katrina Ulnick, and Megan O'Neill.
