Diana Marie (Axtell) Conley

Diana Marie (Axtell) Conley, 68, of Moses Lake, passed away April 25, 2012, after battling breast cancer for the past three years. She was surrounded by family and friends in her final days.

Diana was born January 22, 1944, in Denver, Colorado to Dorothy Marie (Tebbetts) Axtell. She attended North Platte High School in North Platte, NE. She continued her education at the University of Idaho, graduating in 1966 with a Bachelor's degree in Education.

Diana had an absolute passion for teaching. She was an early education teacher; teaching primarily grades Kindergarten thru 2nd grade for a total of 28 years. Diana retired after 22 years with the Moses Lake School District.

When she was not investing in children, either in the classroom or her grandchildren, Diana enjoyed exploring the northwest waterways in her kayak, going on road-trips with her dog, gardening, playing cards with her friends and visiting her sister in Arizona.

She is survived by her children, Patrick Conley of Moses Lake, WA, and Dana (Conley) Choi of Seattle, WA, her sister, Linda, brother, Tom, in addition to her four grandchildren, Trent & McKenna Conley and Elsie & Elias Choi.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy, sister, Jean, and infant daughter, Lynn Marie.
