LEAVENWORTH - The Cougar boys golf team fared well on the links their last two times out. Warden beat Cascade High School on the road Monday, then beat Manson and Riverside Christian at home Wednesday.

Caleb Caballero shot 84, Conrad Ruge carded 85 and Conner Haynes turned in an 87 to help lead Warden to an 18 stroke win over the Cascade Kodiaks.

Saxon Swindler had a 102, Jordan Manville shot 104, and Henry Woo finished with 110 to round out the scoring for Warden. The Cougars finished with a team score of 358. The Kodiaks had 379. Caballero was the medalist on the day on the par 71 course.

"What a beautiful course and setting," coach Steve Tolley said. "The weather was about the best we have had this season ... 72-74 degrees with a  5 mph wind."

Tyler Harrod and Paul Hartl shot 91 for Cascade.

WARDEN -The weather was quit the opposite of that in Leavenworth when Warden hosted Manson and Riverside Christian at the par 71 course at Sage Hills Wednesday as temperatures dipped into the 50s and the wind blew all day long. But the conditions didn't seem to hamper the Cougars efforts as they won the match by 10 strokes.

Warden's Trent Bates, Caleb Caballero and Riverside's Gage Neiffer were tri-meadlists on the day as all shot 83 for the match. Conrad Ruge carded 93, Jordan Manville had 100, and Saxon Swindler and Daniel Clarke turned in 104 to round out the scoring for the Cougars who finished with a team score of 359.

Riverside Christian placed second with 369 and Manson was third with 468.

The district tournament gets underway at the Lake Chelan Golf Course Monday. Warden will be represented by Bates, Caballero, Ruge, Hanyes, Manville and Swindler. The top 11 finishers will qualify for the state tournament in Lakewood May 22 and 23.
