Reader grateful for support

I would like to take a minute to say thank you to the many organizations and individuals who support the students at Longview Elementary and other schools in our district. Generous gifts from the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Soroptimists, Takata Corporation, and Basic American Foods provide back packs, school supplies, coats, shoes, and clothing to students in need, as well as dictionaries, playground equipment, and even landscaping for our campus. In addition, there are dozens of businesses and individuals in the community who contribute money and supplies to sponsor our PTA's fundraisers which pay for important programs and enrichment activities throughout the year. On behalf of the staff, students, and families in the Longview community, thank you to everyone who has invested their time and treasure into the children in our community. We appreciate everything you do to help make Longview such a great place for our kids.
