FIVE-CORNERS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT--2012

Moses Lake, Washington

Sealed bids will be received at City Hall, 321 South Balsam, (P. O. Box 1579), Moses Lake, Washington 98837 until  June 13, 2012; 2:00 pm,  for the above-named improvement.  Said bids will be opened and publicly read at that time.    All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with FIVE-CORNERS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT-2012 marked plainly thereon.

All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City.

Plans and specifications shall be obtained at the City Hall at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $35.00.  Only bids from bidders who have purchased plans and specifications at the City Hall will be accepted.  Copies of plans and specifications are on file for review at various construction councils.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:    This Project includes replacing wires for the traffic signals and pedestrian signals at the Five-corners intersection, replacing traffic signals and pedestrian heads, relocating and replacing pedestrian push buttons, relocating a signal head on a new pole, curb and sidewalk removal and installation, stormwater revisions, pavement patching, striping, traffic control, adjustments, and associated work.

Estimated Project Cost: $195,000.00

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids if such action is in the best interest of the City.
