When we read the newspaper, watch the news, or even in casual conversations with our friends and family, we learn of defendants receiving jail sentences that don't seem to make any sense. We may ask "why would the judge impose a sentence that seems so light for the crime?" or "why was this defendant treated differently than another defendant for the same crime?" It is my hope that this brief, non-comprehensive look at sentencing guidelines may help those who want to better understand our judicial system.

I just found Select Rentals online after having a bad experience with Crescent Bar Resorts Vacation Rentals, where I was treated very badly. The woman I spoke to was absolutely wonderful. After the h*ll I've been through with Crescent Bar Resorts Vacation Rentals, it was nice to actually have some great customer service. The woman fully answered all of my annoying questions and treated me the way I expect to be treated. I've read the reviews below and all I can say is "Wow". With the way I was treated at CBR Vacation Rentals, it doesn't surprise my that they are writing negative reviews on everyone else's businesses. Shady people, I would never try to rent from that company again. I'm so excited for our fourth of july vacation! Thank you Select Rentals, I hope you get this message. You've brightened my day!
Anonymous renter
I'm writing this review because I love select rentals. They have gone BEYOND what I expect a rental agency to do. Debbie from crescent bar resortS and her friend Ronda are writing unfair reviews about this business. Select Rentals is by far the best agency there. They've been in this business for years and years longer than crescent bar resortS (not to be confused with the REAL crescent bar resort from whose name they stole and added an S to confuse customers into thinking they're legit). Select Rentals is the company you want. They are the only agency there with an office.

Strengthening rural America through entrepreneurship
When asked if I see myself as an entrepreneur, I could tell that my answer (well, I farm, so I guess so) wasn't what the interviewer was looking for when he videotaped me at the American Farm Bureau Federation's 95th Annual Convention in January. In truth I am an entrepreneur, all farmers and ranchers are. My wife and I started a direct-to-consumer beef and lamb business several years ago. We looked at it as a way of adding value to our livestock and developing a new income source for our farm. Along the way we started to talk to friends and neighbors about the lack of processing facilities near our community.

Corn futures followed wheat higher Wednesday morning. The corn market has bounced from technical support this week with a big assist from surging wheat prices. Wheat gains and talk of potential spring dryness in the U.S. and Black Sea appear to be boosting prices, but traders were probably encouraged by the reported drop in domestic ethanol inventories. May corn gained 2.0 cents to $4.8525/bushel around midsession Wednesday, while December added 2.0 to $4.8325. .

Fishin' Magician: Dave Graybill
Here's something for the "a little different file" from me. I got a call from Metal Flowers Media in Hollywood, California, and they are doing the casting for a new cable television show. They are looking for some hardcore anglers for a project that will be filmed in an exotic location. The idea is to put some anglers to the test in extreme conditions. Not only do they want some tough guys for the experience they want people that can be available for the shooting. If you or someone you know would like to learn more about this, contact them at casting@metalflowersmedia.com. I would love to be part of this, but I have my trip to Belize coming up the last week in May. Locally, there are a couple of fisheries that are getting attention. One is the kokanee fishing at Lake Chelan, of course, but the other is the walleye fishing on the Columbia River and on Lake Roosevelt. I did a TV Show on fishing near Two Rivers and on the Spokane Arm a couple of years ago, and this is the time it really starts to happen up there. We didn't catch big fish, but we got a lot of them.
