NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of County Commissioner will conduct a public hearing in accordance with Chapter 25.12 of the Grant County Unified Development Code to consider proposed amendments to the Grant County Comprehensive Plan, the Gran County Code, and the Grant County Shoreline Master Program submitted in accordance with the criteria listed in the Unified Development Code and in accordance with Chapter 36.70A RCW and Chapter 90.58 RCW.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of County Commissioner will conduct a

public hearing in accordance with Chapter 25.12 of the Grant County Unified Development Code to consider proposed amendments to the Grant County Comprehensive Plan, the Gran County Code, and the Grant County Shoreline Master Program submitted in accordance with the criteria listed in the Unified Development Code and in accordance with Chapter 36.70A RCW and Chapter 90.58 RCW.

DESCRIPTION OF CURRENT PROPOSAL:

The Grant County Board of County Commissioners will consider the following actions:

1. Amend Chapter 13, “Natural Setting”, of the Grant County Comprehensive Plan to reflect the goals and policies established in the updated Shoreline Master Program.

2. Repeal Chapter 24.12, “Shoreline Master Program” of the Grant County Code.

3. Repeal the 1975 Shoreline Master Program

4. Adopt Chapter 24.12 “Shoreline Master Program” as the updated Shoreline Master Program as presented by the Planning Commission.

5. Adopt the companion documents to the updated Shoreline Master Program, including the Inventory and Characterization Report, Cumulative Impacts Analysis, Restoration Plan, and Riparian Buffer Recommendations document.

The Grant County Planning Commission conducted a hearing on March 19, 2014 to consider these amendments and made a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners to approve the five actions listed above. The proposed actions will be heard commencing at 10:30 a.m. on

April 9, 2014 in the Grant County Commissioners Hearing Room on the second floor of the

Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, Washington, at which time any person may appear and be heard either for or against the approval of the proposed amendments to be considered at the public hearing.
