Thanks Nancy!

Garnet and I traveled to Fairchild Air Force Base last Friday for the monthly Hail and Farewell. This is a chance to greet the newcomers to the 92 nd Air Refueling Squadron and also to say goodbye to the airmen leaving the unit. After the formal part of the gathering we share a potluck-type meal.

After hearing about the meal portion of the monthly event, Nancy Bromiley sent along a couple dozen cookies; sugar and creamsicle. As the meal was ending, I mentioned the cookies and asked for a photo.

This is when the situation became interesting.

Question: Hand 16 airmen looking for dessert a Nancy Bromiley cookie and ask them to walk 10 steps to the corner for a photo and what do you have?

Answer: Half to a quarter of the cookie left when they reach the corner.

Nancy was planning ahead when I stopped by her house to pick up the cookies.

"You usually take a stew or soup, don't you?" she asked and I answered yes.

"Good, maybe I'll make some 7 UP biscuits for you to take next month," she said.

The airmen wanted me to thank you, Nancy. They enjoyed the cookies and were asking if I was going to bring more next month as they are all gone.

And I must tell you, they were good. Well...er...ah...it was my responsibility to taste test one of each kind, ya know.
