EPHRATA - Ephrata police were led on a chase Thursday night through Ephrata and Soap Lake after attempting to stop an Ephrata man wanted by police in an undisclosed investigation.

About 11 p.m., police found a 1995 Ford Explorer on Second Avenue Northwest with Juan Silva, 21, inside. Silva had outstanding warrants for failing to appear for fourth-degree assault and no valid operator's license.

Silva reportedly drove off when police attempted to stop him. Silva allegedly didn't stop and a pursuit ensued. Silva began to head to Soap Lake and eventually ended up back in Ephrata. It's where the chase ended after Silva allegedly collided with another vehicle near Sixth Avenue Northwest and C Street Northwest, according to police reports.

Silva was arrested on outstanding warrants and additional offences for attempt to elude and obstruction.

A passenger, Yolanda Bustos Gonzalez, 20, of Soap Lake, was booked into Grant County Jail for obstruction.
