William (Bill) L. Mast

William (Bill) L. Mast, 79, longtime Warden resident, passed away on Thursday, March 20th at his home in Moses Lake.

Bill was born March 8, 1935 in Spokane. Raised in Colfax and joined the Navy in 1952, where he served in the Korean conflict. Bill received the National Defense, Korean Defense, United Nation Service and good conduct medals.

In 1954 he married Margaret (Peggy) and they spent 58 years together. Bill and Peggy moved to Warden from California in 1961 with their 3 children. Bill spent over 40 years at his welding shop and their family farm. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill and Peg spent a few years in Arizona, enjoying the warm weather and traveling.

Bill is survived by his three children and spouses; Billy and Elita Mast of Warden, Sherry and Tom Cieloha of Vernonia, Oregon, and Chet and Diana Mast of Vancouver, Washington; many grand and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two siblings.
