8:45 - 9:15 a.m.    Welcome, local introductions and overview for the day.Introduction of the keynote speaker.

9:15 - 10:45 a.m.    Keynote Speaker - Heather Darby - The Darby Farm - Alburgh, Vermont

10:45 - 11:00 a.m.    Break

11:00 - 11:45 a.m.    Local facilitated discussions based on the keynote presentation.

11:45 - 12:30 p.m.    Lunch and networking

12:30 - 1:45 p.m.    A Problem Solving Approach to ChangeLearn how to use the SWOT Analysis as a decision-making tool to look at key financial considerations for taking on a new capital expense. When you are done, you will be able to use this tool for making any business decision. You will be more confident in your decision-making ability because you have designed your own "safety net" to manage risk.

1:45 - 2:00 p.m.    Break

2:00 - 3:15 p.m.    What Do Local Producers Say?Hear other producers describe the changes they have incurred in their businesses.  These changes could be "self-initiated" or a result of weather, family issues, finances or personal decision-making.  Find out how they have dealt with change, the tools and strategies they used and the challenges they experienced. Everyone will have a "take-away" message to improve their risk management strategies!

3:15 - 4:00 pm.    Local Facilitated discussion. Sharing of take-away messages and wrap-up. Future workshops.
