The City of Othello, Washington invites sealed bids for the purchase of a 1996 vactor, which is owned by the City. The city encourages all potential bidders to view the vactor that will be up for bid. The vactor is a 1996 Ford L8000 with a Cummins engine. The vactor model is #2105-C4. It has 11,600 miles on the truck and 4,400 truck hours and 3,300 pony hours. You may contact the Public Works Department at 509-488-6997 to schedule a time to view the vactor during operating hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30am–2:30pm. Appointments in advance are required. Sealed bids for the described item will be received by the City of Othello at the Public Works Department, 111 N. Broadway, Othello, Washington, 99344, until 10:00 a.m., local time, Friday, March 28th, 2014 and then publicly opened and read aloud at that time.

The stipulations on the purchase of the vactor are as follows:

- The city has a reserve for the vactor. All bids below the reserve will not be

accepted.

- The vactor is sold “as-is/where is” and must be removed from city property by

- the purchaser.

- The removal must be done during the hours of 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. The vactor is located behind locked gates and therefore must be removed when city personnel are present to open the gates.

- The buyer has 10 business days to make payment on the vactor after acceptance of the bid. If payment is not received in a timely manner, the next highest bidder will be offered the vactor at their bid price.

- The vactor must be removed by the buyer within 5 business days after payment has cleared.

The City of Othello may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed requirements, and may reject for good cause any and all bids upon finding that it is in the public interest to do so.
