Alleged drunk driver crashes into fence in ML

MOSES LAKE - An alleged drunk driver crashed into a fence Friday night in a Moses Lake neighborhood after nearly colliding with another vehicle minutes before.

About 5:30 p.m., Moses Lake police received several reports of an erratically-driven vehicle, driven by Cipriano Valdez, 47, on West Broadway Avenue that almost struck another vehicle.

Witnesses told police Valdez reportedly ran a stop sign on West Peninsula Drive before turning onto South Kennedy Place and driving into a fence. Valdez allegedly began arguing with one of the homeowners in the area and began kicking the homeowner's vehicle, according to police reports.

Police arrived shortly after and found Valdez sitting on a curb nearby. He was released on scene. Charges for DUI and reckless endangerment will be recommended when toxicology reports are completed.
