Abelino G. "Abby" Rodriguez, Jr.

Abelino G. "Abby" Rodriguez, Jr., age 61, of Moses Lake, Wash. died in his home, Wednesday, March 26, 2014. He was born December 23, 1952 in Acuña, Coahuila, México to Abelino Rodriguez Sr. and Consuelo Galindo Rodriguez.

Abelino graduated from Othello High School in 1972. He married Connie Arlean Nield that same year in Othello. He worked as a hydroelectric mechanic until his retirement for the Grant County P.U.D. at Wanapum Dam. He loved fishing, being outdoors, fixing things, coin collecting, metal detecting and gemology, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, his dear family and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abelino Sr. and Consuelo Rodriguez, sisters Maria Elena Villareal and Alicia Vasquez.

Abelino is survived by his beloved wife Connie Rodriguez, of Moses Lake, Wash., his children Kathy Rodriguez and fiancé Michael Perez, of Kennewick, Wash., Jason and Olga Rodriguez of Pasco, Wash. and Ryan and Raina Rodriguez of Spokane, Wash.; his beloved grandchildren Evan, Paija, Traijan, Aliyah and Olivia; his siblings Arturo Rodriguez of Eagle Pass, Texas, Araceli Garcia of Othello, Wash. and his faithful dog Chipper.

Viewing will be held from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m., with Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7th Ave. building, 611 S. 7th Ave., Othello, Wash. Burial and concluding services will immediately follow in Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens, Othello.
