Gene Everett Stubbs

Gene Everett Stubbs, 68, died Feb 22, 2014 at his home in Moses Lake, WA, from an apparent heart attack. He was employed by Harris Moran Seed Co. as Product Development Representative for the Pacific Northwest in North America and processed sweet corn. He previously worked for Asgrow Seed Co. and Rogers Brothers Seed Co.

Gene was born May 20, 1945 in Moscow, ID to Merl Wesley Stubbs and Erna Anita Domke. He attended Moscow public schools and was an accomplished member of the M Club and Track, Basketball and Football teams. He was a member of the Pre-Youth Legislature, elected Gem Boy's State Governor and attended Boy's Nation in Washington, D.C. Gene also served as Student Body President and as Senior Class President. He attended the University of Idaho, was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and graduated in 1968 with a degree in Business Agriculture. Gene was married to Mary Jean Bailey from 1964-71.

Survivors include his widow, Dale Bashaw Stubbs, whom he married in 1972 in Twin Falls, ID.; daughters Pamela Jean Orser and husband, Scrafford, of Portland, OR and Tina Marie Born and husband, Troy, of Caldwell, ID; brother Gerry Stubbs and wife, Angie, of LaCrosse, WA; sister Judith Stubbs Marineau, of Moscow, ID; grandchildren Mable Katharine Orser, Alva Marie Orser, and James Maxwell Born; niece Claudine Marineau Tanner, of Newberg, OR; nephews Michael Stubbs, of LaCrosse, WA, Jacques Marineau, of Plano TX and Gerard Marineau, of Sammamish, WA; and numerous cousins.

A memorial will be held on March 29 from 11:00-1:00 at The University Inn/Best Western in Moscow, ID.
