Much like last week, the Warriors got down early and would have to climb their way back up. It was a combination of poor special teams play and bad luck that gave Pateros an early lead.

Othello falls to Prosser
The Huskies ended last season with a playoff loss to rival Prosser 15-14. Othello led the game 14-0 at halftime when an injury to their starting quarterback late in the first half halted their success and allowed Prosser to take control of the contest. They had revenge on their mind this past Friday as the two teams met again for the first time since the heartbreaking loss last year. After shutting out Wapato 54-0 last week the offense showed it was explosive enough to contend with a team like Prosser, but it would take a team effort and strong play on both sides of the ball to move their record to 3-0. After another strong first half, Prosser got the better of the Huskies in the second half and pulled away to win 27-16.

I have purchased two homes from Susan. She is a professional real estate agent. She has a unique sense of what it is you are looking for and won't waste your time showing you property that doesn't fit your profile. She even pointed out negatives on one property I was considering which is a testament to her honesty. I needed good local subcontractors and Susan was a great help in recommending folks in the different trades. In short, I trust her and would definitely use her again. Susan will look out for you!

metricman (http://www.zillow.com/profile/metricman/)
Susan Gear, How can you describe her? I would call her a dream maker! Susan had three showings for my house when it was listed and at that time no takers, I got frustrated and took my home off the market but Susan said you have a nice home and when I get the right buyer I will remember you, Well Susan did remember us and brought us our buyer when the home was not even on the ML listing any longer, We were so happy that Susan sold our house that was too small that we gave her the business to help us buy our new Dream Home in Moses Lake,. I have to admit I was a pain for Susan at times as the process waiting for our buyers loan approval was slow, but Susan had had just the right amount of patients to handle all the emotions and tribulations getting it done,. In short if you want just a plain ordinary realtor get someone else but if you want an "Angel" on your team working for your future than contact Susan Gear with Team Up Reality! I promise you that will be one of the best decisions you ever made! K J Moses Lake WA

Reader wants voters to be informed
Stupid people vote! John Kennedy put it like this, "The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all." We have millions of voters who vote without any real knowledge of the point of view and position of the cadidate they vote for. We keep re-electing the same bufoons who have become wealthy while holding their elected offices. They are the people who have implemented the polices that have put this republic in grave peril. Sadly for us the buffoonery is bi-partisan.

The Eisenhower Wildcat's game plan was clear from the first whistle; to prevent Moses Lake from getting to the outside and creating big run plays outside of the tackles. The Chiefs relying on speed and their run game has been successful when they are able to break big gains on the outside and set up their passing attack. The Chiefs expected a high scoring affair and prepared during the week for an Eisenhower team that would put points on the board and keep pressure on Moses Lake's defense throughout the contest. Instead of the offensive battle that most were expecting, the first half proved to be a game of field position and limiting mistakes. With just 19 seconds left in the second quarter, Rehn Reiley hit a 42 yard field goal to give the Cheifs a 10-0 lead over the Wildcats.

Kapalo's 3 TD's lead Eagles to Win
SOAP LAKE - In their home opener against LaCrosse-Washtucna, the Eagles of Soap Lake kept their momentum from week one going by jumping out to an early lead yet again. The Tigercats scored first on a 10 yard run and converted the two-point conversion to make the score 8-0 early in the first quarter of play. The Eagles wasted no time responding as senior team captain David Odarchuk, coming off a huge performance in the season opener, broke a 50 yard touchdown run to put Soap Lake on the board. On the Eagles next offensive possession quarterback Joe Cutshall connected with Nic Kapalo for a 4 yard touchdown pass and the two hooked up again for the two point conversion.

Fishin' Magician: Dave Graybill
The Wenatchee River was high and running mud most of last weekend, but when it settles down there is even more water to fish for Chinook salmon. The upper boundary of the Wenatchee River has been extended. It was opened from Dryden Dam up to the Highway 2 Bridge at Leavenworth on September 1st. Added to this stretch is the river from the Highway 2 Bridge upstream to the Icicle River Road Bridge. The numbers of summer Chinook returning to the Wenatchee are well in excess of spawning escapement needs, and they are not ESA listed stocks. Anglers are able to retain four adipose fin clipped summer run Chinook. Only two of which may be adults. This fishery is made possible by funding through the Salmon and Steelhead Endorsement. It is very important that all steelhead that are hooked incidentally be immediately released without removing them from water. Intentional fishing for steelhead could result in the curtailment or closure of steelhead fishing on the Wenatchee River. I fished Roses Lake recently, and we got a nice mess of crappie. I am very excited to see a good population of crappie available at this close to home lake.

Reader weighs in on Warden issues
Before the city council meeting took place on Tuesday the 10th Kayla Kight the former runner up of Mayor against Tony Massa back in 2011 now joins the current council officials which she replaced position number 4 of Roldan Capetillo who resigned a few weeks ago before his 2015 term ended. I also talked about the future of the unpaved gravel roads on W. County Rd & throughout the west of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th with Mr. Massa as he stated that they are doing what they can to come up with the money from the community and trying to get loans to work on those projects, which will take more time. Yet a few years ago Warden Police Chief Mr. Martin published in the Herald that he would like to try to install high-tech cameras to stop speeding vehicles as I replied that it would be a waste of money to contribute from the community to set up a benefit towards Warden police to have it too easy as residents would pay taxes for a camera that will benefit them for their own speeding ticket? When it comes to the public's request paving a single road anywhere past the West of County is when they are short of the funds. But anything to make improvements only for the city officials and police only then have some funds and loans for it. As for the new council member, if you can't beat them join them. Congratulations and best of luck.

It was finally a little boy who, not knowing that he was displaying his stupidity, spoke out loudly saying that the Emperor was naked. The weavers had pulled a scam on the Emperor and his staff.

Fresh News from MarDon
As Potholes Reservoir cools with incoming fall weather the fishing for all species will only get better. The bass guys are having a ball with largemouth bass at the face of the dunes. Reader thinks UN should declare problem in Syria
With respect to Syria, if there is such a world wide thinking that "Chemical Weapons" are a major problem, then let us see the United Nations General Assembly declare that every nation that is willing to commit troops towards removing the problems in Syria shall vote for such action, set up the combined military force necessary, and declare just what sort of a "protectorate government" shall be setup by the UN to administrate Syria for the next fifty years until such time that people there are trained from birth to give firm respect to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as having more importance than the teachings of any religion (including a religion that sanctions war against members of other religions). Only when the UN passes such a resolution, and starts setting up a multi-national force to deal with Syria, shall the President have authorization to have the United States join the multi-national force.
