Second A Sip of the Slope wine fest set this Saturday

ROYAL CITY - Everything is set for the second A Sip of the Slope wine festival at the Royal Community Center at the Royal Golf Course this Saturday, Sept. 21.

The celebration will get under way at 4 p.m. It is scheduled to end at around 7 p.m., but guests are invited to stay as long as they wish.

Tickets for A Sip of the Slope are $25 per person. They are on sale at Royal City Harvest Foods and can also be purchased on the day of the event at the Community Center.

The Royal Golf Course is offering a special that day for those holding Sip of the Slope tickets. Show your “Sip” ticket and play 18 holes for $17.

A Sip of the Slope will feature Neppel Cellars, Gård Vintners, Frenchman Hills Winery, Foxy Roxy Wine Company, Camas Cove Cellars and Gingko Forest Winery.

Also on hand will be Tonnemaker Hill Farm, Verhey Peaches, Pies by Ronna, and chocolates from Karen Lasen. Cheese Louise from Richland will offer a wide selection of domestic and imported cheeses to pair and taste with the wines.

Guests will be treated to a wide variety of “delectable edibles” from several of local businesses, including Royal City Harvest Foods Deli, Deli-sh, La Cabaña, Hugo Ledezma’s Tacos, and Mack’s Moca.

Entertainment will be provided by Slag Callahan and Gavin Rose. They form one of the finest guitar duos in the Northwest
