Think back to your childhood for a moment. Is there one family vacation that stands out from the rest?
Would your kids know what to do in the event of a road trip emergency?
When you set out on a family road trip, running into trouble is the last thing on your mind. Accidents can happen, however, so it's important that you have an emergency plan in place before you leave the driveway.
Don't let motion sickness ruin your vacation
There are four words no parent or sibling wants to hear on a road trip? "Mom, I feel sick."
Chill your buns: The coolest way to reduce swelling
(ARA) - Cryotherapy is nothing new. You know when you bumped your head when you were a kid, and your mom told you to "put some ice on it?" It turns out she was absolutely right.
The key to having a great family road trip
Want to make 2010 the year of your most memorable family road trip ever? If so, instead of planning the destination and activities yourself, turn a little bit of control over to your children. Getting kids involved in the planning process is a great way to get them excited about a trip.
Planning a road trip? Here are 5 tips for packing food to bring along
Planning a road trip this summer to see a part of the great U.S.A. you've never been to before? If so, there's a lot of planning to do. Don't let your first road trip with friends turn into a nightmare

Don't let hand pain derail fall fun
(ARA) - Autumn's approach means plenty of time outdoors prepping your landscape for winter's impending arrival, or partaking in seasonal fun like pumpkin carving or cookie baking. Don't let fall asthma triggers foil your child's fun
(ARA) - Fall means back-to-school, cooler weather - and an increase in asthma attacks. In fact, childhood asthma statistics show that children with asthma are nearly twice as likely to visit the emergency department when school starts as at other times of the year. That's largely because autumn allergens and viral infections can unleash childhood asthma symptoms.
Some simple rules to follow on your next road trip
Summer vacation has finally arrived for millions of families, and if you're planning an out-of-town trip to visit relatives or see another part of the country, you'll likely be hitting the road instead of flying.
Seating safety for kids on a road trip
Is your baby in a rear-facing car seat? Is your toddler in a forward-facing seat with a full harness? Does your 4- to- 8 year old ride in a booster seat, and do all of your kids sit in the back seat? If you answered "no" to any of these questions, you may be putting your child's safety at risk.

Opening the cell doors for prisoners of conscience in Cuba’s wretched jails is, and must remain, a cardinal objective of U.S. policy toward that country and of everyone who wishes freedom for its people. Cuba’s Catholic Church deserves credit for negotiating the release. Church leaders must continue to champion political prisoners and their families, which they’ve been reluctant to do in the past.

Five ways to save money on your next road trip
Are you among the millions of Americans planning a summer road trip? If so, you may be traveling to your destination by car instead of airplane to save money. But road trips can become stressful if you are on a tight budget. Here are some helpful tips for keeping costs under control:
Disney Star Demi Lovato offers her tips for teens to channel their inner rock star
Teen fashion trends come and go, but one look that's always in style is wearing your personality on your sleeve . . . or pant leg, or shoes. According to Demi Lovato, Disney Channel star and number one selling Hollywood Records artist, a true rock star look begins with wearing whatever showcases your unique personality and allows you to feel confident from head to toe.
Stick to your good habits - even on a road trip
Summer is the time of year when a lot of people take time off from work to go on a road trip. But just because you are varying your routine doesn't mean you should throw all your good habits out the window. You can still eat well, exercise and get plenty of sleep while on the road. The trick is to make the commitment ahead of time and stick with your plan.
Planning a road trip? What not to leave at home
If you're planning to travel this summer, you may want to opt for a road trip - domestic airfares between June and September will be 24 percent higher than they were in 2009, according to the fare-tracking website Bing Travel.
Why join a roadside rescue service?
Automobile owners know that it's not a matter of if something will go wrong, but a matter of when. But wouldn't it be nice to know that the next time your car won't start or you get a flat, help is on the way?

Your children will soon be heading back to school, which means you have shopping to do. Your younger children will need notebooks, pencils, clothes, shoes and all those other things that teachers like to throw on school supply lists. But if you have college-aged kids, they're also going to need textbooks, computers and software before school starts.
Stock your car with a few essentials for summer trips

Take the path less traveled with these four family destinations
Disney World is great, but it might be a little overboard if your family goes there every year. Finding a new vacation that suits your whole family can be tough, but it's not impossible.
Stay alert: Avoid fatigue while driving
There's a good chance you've gotten behind the wheel at a time when you haven't exactly felt the most alert. But did you know that each year, fatigue is reported as the principal cause of up to 100,000 police-reported accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration?
