Fire burns 1.5 acres near Moses Lake
A fire burned about 1.5 acres near Miller Street in Moses Lake.
MOSES LAKE — A brush fire burned about 1.5 acres of land near Miller Street in Moses Lake Wednesday.
Grant County Fire District 5 and Moses Lake Fire Department responded to the fire.
Moses Lake Fire Chief Tom Taylor estimated the fire was reported at about 3 p.m.
The fire threatened a storage area and a mobile home and burned one car.
Taylor said the cause of the fire is unknown.
“Other than that there’s not a ton of property damage,” he said. “Witnesses say they saw a kid playing in the area, but we can’t confirm that.”
