Despite the high amount of entries this year, the Jr. Rodeo is on shaky ground, according to some of its officials, as the Moses Lake Jr. Rodeo Club sponsors were lower this year, citing economic hardship.
The total cost to put on the Jr. Rodeo was $14,720 and included, buckles, award money, stock, insurance, ambulance, judges and timers.
The rodeo itself brings in around $12,000 in entry fee money and the rest through potential local area sponsors.
The Club is looking to raise $15,00 to finish off paying their bills and according to officials, the future of the rodeo is uncertain.
