EPHRATA — Beaming White Smiles owner Robert Church says he opened his business to offer cosmetic teeth whitening at an affordable price.
“I want people who are getting married, or anybody for that matter, to brighten their smiles,” he says.
He wants his customers to get the same results as those spending $600 elsewhere.
Church explains the cosmetic teeth whitening process has two different methods. Customers can either have gel applied to their teeth or a gel placed on a mouthpiece.
Two 20-minute treatments cost $99. An optional third treatment sells for an extra $30.
He has seen customers’ teeth greatly improve, by lightening between two to six shades.
Church said it isn’t required that he be a dentist for this particular business. It’s because he doesn’t touch customers’ mouths.
But the business is under the guidance of a practicing dental hygienist. She currently works for a local dentist.
“This is self-administered,” Church says. “We provide access to the light. We’re there to let the customer know how much gel to apply and to make sure they don’t get it on their gums.”
He and employee Nikkee Grow, the business’s office manager, took an aptitude test concerning the procedure.
The business is located at 213 W. Division Ave., Ephrata.
Beaming White Smiles offers an ongoing group discount for four people or more. Each group member pays a reduced price of $80 for two treatments, which can be done at another business or home.
Through the month of May, customers receive $15 off their teeth whitening.
A couple’s special is available throughout the summer, in which couples receive a $30 discount. He defined a couple as a husband and wife, or a bride and groom.
The business’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
