Gene was born on October 9, 1941 in Aberdeen, WA. He attended school in Coulee City, WA. Gene was a long time area resident where he finally retired with Simplot in Moses Lake, WA. He spent 4 years serving in the US Marine Corps. Gene spent most of his time devoted to the building of custom homes and later in life to his fence building business. He could weld, paint, build, repair all types of engines, do plumbing and electrical work. He was a gifted and a true craftsman. He enjoyed building things. Ranging from jigs (a home-made tool). “If you didn’t have it we’ll make it or figure out how to make it,” he always said. He had a quality that drew you to him. If you were lucky enough to be part of his circle then it was very special. He was the type of person that if you needed something he would give it to you without hesitation. Most of all he loved his family and his grandchildren. They were the light of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

We all miss you and love you dad!

He is survived by his wife of 30 years - Arna.

His children: Rick (Lina) of Spanaway, Teri of Spokane, Ray (Camellia) of Warden, Fonne of Forest Grove, OR., and Eva of Moses Lake. 12 Grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Brother Grant of La Grande Or and sister Wanda of East Wenatchee.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Genevieve Pittser, nephew-Brad and nieces-Celeste and Carrie.
