Michael J. "Mike" Bute (56) born on September 10, 1955 in Miller, South Dakota to Robert J. & Arlene J. Bute, passed away at his Electric City, Washington home on December 18, 2011. Having served his country with the US Army in Vietnam , Mike worked in construction with IBEW Local 77, serving as a Journeyman Lineman since 1976 until his retirement from Grant County PUD. A member of the Electric City, Washington American Legion Post and the Grand Coulee , Washington Eagles, Mike enjoyed hunting, canning the harvest from his vegetable garden and long walks with Rastis. His two great loves however were riding his Harley and spending time with Family and his many friends.

Ruth L. Hay (94) Born October 24, 1917 in Webster County, Nebraska to William L. and Bertha M. Worley, died December 5, 2011 at Mercer Island, Washington. Predeceased by two husbands: Nuton "Al" Elkins and Bill Hay; Ruth's legacy lives on through her son: Richard Elkins (Elizabeth); daughter: Joanne White (George); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and sisters: Rowene Easter and Avos Roedel (Vic). Ruth worked for many years for the Bureau of Reclamation, Personnel Department, both in Grand Coulee Dam and Ephrata. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at Sunrise Assisted Living, Mercer Island, December 15, 7:00pm. Ruth's family requests that any donations be made in her name to Mercer Island Covenant Church, PO Box 2, 3200 78th Ave SE, Mercer Island, Washington 98040. Strate Funeral Home of Grand Coulee, Washington is honored to serve Ruth's family.

Leon was born on June 21, 1927 in Norphlet, Arkansas son of the late Gus and Mary Lou (Reedy) Gordon. He was raised in Louisiana. Leon retired from American National Can in 1989 in Kent, Washington and moved with his wife, Clara, to Moses Lake. Clara passed away in 2004 and Leon continued to live in Moses Lake until 2005. He has resided in California and Centralia.

Elizabeth Anne (Gibson) Wilson passed away peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2011 surrounded by her loving family and holding the hand of her sweet husband of 53 years. Elizabeth was born on August 6, 1933 in Walla Walla Washington to parents Charles and Karen (Krogh) Gibson. Elizabeth was a tiny baby, weighing only 2 lbs. at birth, and she left this life the same way she entered it; tiny and tough! Her family moved from Walla Walla to Spokane, then Seattle and eventually settled in Yakima, WA when Elizabeth was 11. She attended Franklin Jr. High and graduated from Yakima High School in 1951. Elizabeth went on to earn a teaching degree in 1955 from Whitman College in Walla Walla and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and remained a lifelong member. After college, she taught 2nd grade in both Richland and Yakima.
