James "Jim" Alan Gross

James "Jim" Alan Gross, 53 years of age, of Moses Lake, WA passed away on December 24, 2011 while at work, from congestive heart failure. Jim, the oldest of four siblings, was born on August 26th 1958 in Huron, South Dakota to Margaret Timbrook and Eugene Gross.

At the age of 6 months, Jim and his parents relocated to Quincy, WA where he grew up and attended school. At the age of 18, he started working at Lamb-Weston (ConAgra) in Quincy, WA. On his time off from work he enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors and with his family and friends. In 1987 Jim met Dorothy Davidson of Ephrata, WA and was married in January of 1988. In May 1988, Jim and Dorothy welcomed a son, Eli, into their life. On, April 18th 1995, Jim and his mother Margaret received their GED together, fulfilling a personal goal for both. In the early 2000s Jim and his father Eugene, started producing elephant garlic which they sold at local farmers markets. In 2004, Jim moved to Moses Lake, WA where he worked as a hair stylist and later worked as a pizza delivery driver. 

Jim is survived by his parents; Margaret Timbrook (Gregory) and Eugene Gross, Quincy, WA; his grandmother, Opal Timbrook, Renton, WA; his child, Eli Gross, Quincy, WA; his siblings, Terry Gross, Quincy, WA, Danny Gross, Ephrata, WA, Timothy Timbrook, Quincy, WA; his half-siblings, Richard Gross, Quincy, WA, Christina Larson, Quincy, WA; his step-siblings, Gregory Timbrook Jr., Hillsboro, OR, Cindy Rang (Brian), Quincy, WA, Rob Henne, Quincy, WA; his uncles and aunts, Sally Williams (Gary), Renton, WA, Kenny Giedd, Renton, WA, Rose Skimper (Roger), Moses Lake, WA, Maxine Deluavx, ID, Marline Deluavx, ID, Patrick "Pat" Deluavx, ID; his nephews and nieces, Cody Gross, Moses Lake, WA, Jeffray Gross, Ellensburg, WA, Travis Gross, Ephrata, WA, Dayton Timbrook, Wenatchee, WA, and 5 others; his cousins, Harold "JR" Chandler, Quincy, WA, Karen Schlicker, Moses Lake, WA, and 14 others.

Jim is preceded in death by his grandfather, Emil Giedd, his step-grandfather, James Timbrook, his grandparents, Marie and Chuck Deluavx, his niece, Bethany Gross, his cousin, Lawrence Schlicker.  

The family would like to thank all those who helped in numerous ways: visits, food, and especially prayers. A funeral service will be held at the Quincy Nazarene Church, Saturday December 31st, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a procession following the service and a reception will be held for family and friends back at the church at 11:30 a.m.
