Jesus "Jesse" Briones Meza, 49, lifetime Moses Lake resident died Tuesday, December 15, 2011 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma, WA. Jesse was born January 24, 1962 in Moses Lake, WA to Valentin and Maria Angelita (Briones) Meza.

Right out of high school Jesse began working in the construction industry with the Laborers Local 348, working at Hanford and other areas and later worked driving potato trucks. Jesse will be remembered for his love of racing cars, especially his beloved blue Impala "Betsy", he had a sharp mechanical aptitude which he used oftentimes while working on motors, which he enjoyed immensely! He also loved models and sailboats, country music, 70s soft rock, fishing, baking cakes and he loved breakfast, authentic homemade Spanish food, especially his sister's homemade tortillas (which one, only he knows!). He had such a good nature about him; he was quite a jokester, especially with his beloved sisters. He was a very loyal friend; he loved spending time with his family, cousins and friends. He really enjoyed watching old westerns like Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie and Big Valley. He looked forward to being reunited to his beloved dog "Spooky".

Jesse was preceded in death by his beloved sister Margarita Meza in 2000 and brother-in-law Delbert Thompson in 2010.

He is survived by his dear parents Valentin and Maria Angelita Meza, daughter Teresa (Stephen) Johnson all of Moses Lake, WA, son Carlos Meza of Tacoma, WA, son Alex Yzaguirre of Tri Cities, WA , twins Miranda Meza and Nicholas Meza of Spokane, WA, girlfriend Nancy Davenforth of Tacoma, WA, sisters Sylvia Rocha of Moses Lake, WA, Velma (Ramon) DeLeon of San Jose, CA, brother Valentin (Mary) Meza, Jr. of Fremont, CA, and sister Elizabeth (Don) Lebleu of Moses Lake, WA; grandchildren Amaris, Samuel, Chloe, Madison, Audrina, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be held 1 - 4:30 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary from 4:30 - 5 p.m., and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dan Dufner at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Rd., Moses Lake, WA. Burial will immediately follow in Guarding Angels Cemetery, Moses Lake.
