Gary Clitherall Carter

Gary Clitherall Carter, age 70, of Royal City Washington, passed away September 16, 2012. He was born in Oxford Arkansas on June 6, 1942 to Hix and Veda Carter. Gary graduated from Oxford High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Arkansas State Teacher's College. He worked as a teacher only temporarily. Left Arkansas and come to Washington State where he was employed at Boeing. He retired professionally as an Engineer for the Department of Transportation 1994. He was married to Becky J. (Wilkins) Carter in 1995. He was an active member of the Nazarene Church. He cherished his relationship with his friends, family, and people he met along the way. His love was unconditional to all he met. He was friendly and easy to approach learning all he could about a person within just a few minutes. He will be truly missed by many. He was survived by his wife, of Royal City, and his children; Lanny Paul (Sue) Carter of W. Richland, WA, Lisa K (Brad) Waltrip of Arkansas, and step children Mark Wilkins of Royal City, WA, Melisa (Rodney) White of Moses Lake, WA, Shane Wilkins of Royal City, WA, and Karren Wilkins of Othello WA, and his brother Larry (Jane) Carter of Kansas City, MO. Gary also leaves 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way, to cherish his loving memory. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral arrangements will be held at 3:00 pm, September 21, 2012, at Royal Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Royal City Washington. George Richard (Dick) Brockway, 89 years old, died at Samaritan Hospital on September 11, 2012. He spent the last 13 years living in Soap Lake, WA; and he had previously lived in Ephrata for 43 years. He was born in Helena Montana on January 28, 1923 to Harry and Martha Brockway.

David Gayle Combs

David Gayle Combs left this earth to be with the Lord, family and friends, on August 30, 2012 at the age of 76. He was born on February 15, 1936 in Duke, Oklahoma to Eugene Wayne and Sylvia Mae Combs. He married his sweetheart Londa Hankins of Fort Worth, Texas on December 22, 1953. He then went on to proudly serve our country in the US Air Force as a bombardier in the B-36 Bomber. After four years in the military, he found his career occupation as a welder in the Boilermaker's Union. Dave had a love for horses; he not only rode and roped but also started a small business raising prized racehorses. The flying bug never left, as he owned several small personal aircraft over the years. Also, you could catch him gearing up for a hunting or fishing trip or a round of golf. In 1991, he discovered Moses Lake, Washington and decided this would be where he and Londa would retire which they did in 1995. Husband, father, grandpa, uncle, son, and friend; Dave or as family called him, Gayle, was special to each and every one of us; his fun-loving personality lit up the room and he will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

James Thad Nelson, 78, died as a result of a massive stroke on August 31, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Thad, as he was known to family and friends was born the oldest son and 2nd child of James Wilbur and Rilda Luella Stocks Nelson on February 7, 1934 in Lewiston, Utah.

She was of the Catholic faith and a former cosmetologist. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles M. Gough and wife Genice. She is survived by her husband John of 60 years, two sons Tom Moschner and wife Mary of Moses Lake, WA. and Frank Moschner and wife Jenise of Greenwood, AR. and 3 grandchildren Nicholas Moschner, Daniel Moschner, Aaron Moschner. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Van Buren, AR. with interment at The U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Moschner, Daniel Moschner, Aaron Moschner, George Moschner, Matthew Moschner, Michael Moschner and Anthony Moschner.
