Kenneth Wayne Garrett

Kenneth Wayne Garrett, 95, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 in Moses Lake, Washington.

Ken was born March 31, 1917, in Lohrville, Iowa, to Harry and Edna (Morrison) Garrett.

Ken's first retirement was from Evergreen Implement in Othello, Washington, where he drove truck for 22 years. Following retirement, he and his wife moved to Quincy in 1988 where he worked for Grigg Farms until he retired a second time at 90 years old.

He was an avid fisherman and loved traveling to Lake Roosevelt and Banks Lake with his wife Bee. They also spent many enjoyable times taking their grandchildren fishing as well. His second passion was bowling and he also served on the Washington State Bowling Association Board during the years 1982-1996.

Ken is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bernice (Bee) Garrett of Quincy; step-children Kenny Blake of East Wenatchee, Cheryl Worley and Christy Martin both of Quincy; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Edna; three brothers, Cliff, Don and Lyle.

In lieu of a service, an open house in his honor will be held on Sunday, October 7, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at their home in Quincy, 208 N St. SW.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
