Arnold "Arnie" E. Simpson 79, born April 5, 1935 in Rupert, Iaho, son of Robert and Adeline Simpson, went to be with the Lord on Saturday Nov. 22, 2014 after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer's and heart disease.
Martha "Petie" Daniell
On Nov. 6, 2014, a soul winged its way to heaven. Martha "Petie" Daniell passed away with her family by her side. Petie was born June 13, 1937 in Seimsfoss, Norway and came to the United States in 1958 to the Seattle area. A few years later she met her husband Bob Daniell. They were married in 1970 and enjoyed 43 years of a very happy marriage. She is preceded in death by her parents Gjert & Jonetta Guddall, her brothers Harold & Hans Guddall of Norway and Gunner Guddall of Seattle area.
Mariano G. Martinez
Mariano G. Martinez, age 83, of Warden, passed away Nov. 18th 2014, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. He was born in Repueblo De Oriente, Los Ramones, Neuvo Leon, Mexico on Jan.19th 1931 to parents, Rafael and Emilia Martinez. Mariano grew up with his 8 siblings in Mexico. He was married to Marcelina Garza on March 27, 1954 in San Benito, Neuvo Leon, Mexico. Together they came into the United States in 1955 where they raised their 6 children. Mariano worked as an agricultural laborer for Manuel Laranjo and George Margosian Farms before retiring to Warden in 1991. Mariano was an avid fisherman and poet. He also enjoyed gardening and singing. He will be dearly missed.
Herbert I. Pederson
Herbert I. Pederson, 80, passed away on Nov. 15, 2014 at Summerwood Special Care Center in Moses Lake. Herb was born on Nov. 19th, 1933 in Halliday, N.D. to Gertrude and Alfred Pederson. In 1946, he and his family moved to Idaho where they purchased 40 acres and a log house on Gold Hill 2 miles from Kendrick, Idaho. After Herb graduated from Kendrick High School in 1951, he enlisted and served in the Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955. After returning home from Korea, he worked at a variety of construction and logging jobs. In March 1960, he married his wife of 54 years, Erin, and began his career with Grant County PUD. After 27 years of employment with the PUD doing a variety of electrical and management jobs, he retired in November 1987. Herb enjoyed his retirement years traveling, golfing, fishing, hunting and just taking it easy.
Ewell B Stephens
Ewell B Stephens, 89, formally of Othello, died October 17, 2014. Ewell had been living at Richland Gardens Assisted Living for the past three years. Ewell passed peacefully with members of his family and friends near. Ewell was born in Elizabeth, Arkansas Feb. 16, 1925 to George and Esta Stephens. He leaves his wife of 70 years, Mary I. Stephens (Jean). They would have been married 71 years on November 23.
Frances "Bernice" Jensen (83)
Our Wonderful, Amazing, Loving, Beautiful Wife, Momma and Omi entered through the pearly gates of Heaven and was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 15, 2014; after her courageous six month fight (like a girl) with cancer.
Nicholas Radelmiller
Nicholas Radelmiller, OHC, died at Sarah House in Santa Barbara on Sept. 27. Nick had been Prior of Mount Calvary Monastery in Santa Barbara from 2008 until June of this year. He led the community during the years which followed the Nov., 2008 Tea Fire, which destroyed the original building which housed Mount Calvary Retreat House, and presided over the 2013 acquisition of the present site of Mount Calvary Monastery next to the Old Mission in Santa Barbara.
Clifford Louis Smith
Clifford Louis Smith, 54, a long time resident of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on October 14th, 2014 with his wife by his side, after his battle with cancer. Viewing will be held from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Friday, October 17th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nelson Road Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church. Raymond O. Brown
Angels came and took a gentle soul, Raymond O. Brown, on October 9, 2014, to join his beloved wife, Bridget Brown. He leaves behind daughters Roberta Hansen, Alena Hernandez (Miguel ) and Nephew Richard Andrews (Cheryl), plus several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
Robert Lewis 'Bob' Ralph
Robert Lewis 'Bob' Ralph, 57, longtime Moses Lake resident died in his home, Monday,October 6, 2014 after a short, valiant fight with renal cell carcinoma. Bob was born July 17, 1957 in Spirit Lake, Idaho to Barbara (Lozar) and Lester Ralph.

Marlene Joy Goodman, 77, of Ephrata Washington, passed away October 5th, 2014 at Avalon Care Center in Othello Washington.
Ray 'Bud' Pfeifer
Ray 'Bud' Pfeifer passed away October 3, 2014 in Ellensburg, WA formerly of the Soap Lake and Marlin areas. He is survived by his two children Marilyn (Michael) Santangelo and Lyle (Marlene) Pfeifer along with his six grandchildren: Joe (Casey) Giovanelli, Maggie Santangelo and Mitchell, Matthew, Brian and Kaitlin Pfeifer. Ray has four brothers Cecil, Dale, Loren, and Keith Pfeifer along with three sisters Lois Starkel, Lorene Arbuckle and Donna Rainey and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray is preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2002, brother Howard and three sisters Lenora Wraspir, Gladys Nelson and Iva Thrall. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Marlin, WA and a former Ephrata Elks member. Ray worked on the family wheat farm and later became co-owner of Pfeifer Farms with his brother, Dale. Bud will be missed by all who knew him. He was a gentle soul and a really funny guy. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Zion-Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Odessa, WA on Friday, October 10 at 11 am with Pastor Mark Squire, officiating.
