Cliff was born on January 24th 1960 to LuDene Simpson in Moses Lake, WA. Growing up in the Columbia Basin, Cliff had a fondness for everything outdoors. Taking hikes, fishing, camping, and playing guitar with friends. In 1980 Cliff married Karin Ann Davis, and over the past 34 years, they lived together in Moses Lake, sharing their life with their family and friends.

Cliff graduated from Big Bend Community College in Business Management in 1993, he also became a wonderful chef, his family would look forward to share in home style meals made with love.

Cliff was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. One of the highlights of his life was getting sealed in the Columbia River Temple to his loving wife Karin.

In recent years, Cliffs greatest joy has been spending time with his grandchildren: Jude, Rayne, Harrison, and Kali. You could always find Cliff on the floor playing with his grandchildren, whether it was putting trains together or teaching them Beatles songs. Cliff was honored to be asked to speak at this years' Relay For Life to share his story and inspire others that you could live a life full of love and happiness despite having cancer.

Clifford is survived by his wife Karin Smith, his 3 sons and their wives, Derek and Danielle Smith, Brandon and Olga Smith, and Carson and Brittney Smith; all of Moses Lake. Cliff was preceded in death by his father Clifford Eugene Smith and loving sister Linda Blodgett.

Cliff will be missed by many people, most especially by his numerous friends who will always remember Cliff by his white truck and big smile. He always had a guitar nearby ready to play a song.

Memorial donations can be made in his honor to the Columbia Basin Cancer Society.
