Mattawa to get loan to help rebuild wastewater treatment facility
MATTAWA — The Mattawa City Council voted to accept a $500,000, zero percent interest loan from the state Department of Ecology to help repair the wastewater treatment facility that was destroyed by fire on Jan. 9.
Warden spring clean-up days planned
WARDEN — The city of Warden has set the date for its annual spring clean-up, according to a regular city council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25. This year, spring clean-up will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4. The city of Warden works with Consolidated Disposal to bring the clean-up event each year.

Spring cleaning means work for Moses Lake’s wood chipper
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake residents took advantage of a city offer to help with spring cleaning and dropped off more than 100 pickup loads of branch and tree trimmings, dead branches and other yard debris last week. City employees finished the job Monday morning by feeding the branches and sticks into the city’s wood chipper.
