Mattawa to get loan to help rebuild wastewater treatment facility

MATTAWA — The Mattawa City Council voted to accept a $500,000, zero percent interest loan from the state Department of Ecology to help repair the wastewater treatment facility that was destroyed by fire on Jan. 9.

Warden spring clean-up days planned

WARDEN — The city of Warden has set the date for its annual spring clean-up, according to a regular city council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25. This year, spring clean-up will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4. The city of Warden works with Consolidated Disposal to bring the clean-up event each year.

Spring cleaning means work for Moses Lake’s wood chipper

MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake residents took advantage of a city offer to help with spring cleaning and dropped off more than 100 pickup loads of branch and tree trimmings, dead branches and other yard debris last week.
