Clinton W. Olson, 88, died on Father's Day, June 16, 2013 in Moses Lake where he resided over the past 40 years. Clinton was born on November 30, 1924 in Froid, Montana to Arthur and Ann Olson, moving to Homestead, Montana in the late 20's and lived on the Olson Farm with his grandparents, aunts and uncles until about 1944.

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Frank Nelson, 73, of Soap Lake, Washington, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, December 21, 2013 with his grandson by his side. He had bravely lived with diabetes and the ensuing medical struggles it brought. He was born August 5, 1940 to Grant and Clytie Nelson in Sedro Woolley, Washington. He attended school in Conway and Mount Vernon. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1958 and attended Skagit Valley Community College for a year. On December 31, 1962 he married Glenda Gee in Hamilton, WA. He has resided in the Soap Lake area for the past 41 years, having moved from Fir Island near Conway, Washington in 1973 to farm in the Lake View area.

Eric B. Ramsey was born in Spokane, Washington on Feb. 20, 1970, the first son to Gary and Ruth Ramsey. He passed away in Moses Lake, Washington on March 9, 2023, at the age of 53. As the middle child, Eric grew up in Juneau, Alaska, Polson, Montana, The Dalles, Oregon and Moses Lake, Washington. His childhood memories in Alaska were some of his favorites. He earned his GED from Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Montana. He worked in landscaping and scrapping and as a truck driver.

Hazel Sheppard Craig was born November 11, 1918 in Washburn, Missouri to Earl and Mattie Ward and died May 6, 2013 in Moses Lake, Washington. She had five brothers: Glen, Clifton, Francis, who preceded her in death and Clyde and Ross who survive her. She married Kyle Craig on June 22, 1940. They were married for 49 years until his death June 16, 1989. Hazel is survived by her six children: Larry (Becky) of Eden, Idaho, Marvin (Arlene) and Gary (Barbara) both of Moses Lake, Washington, Janet Bohnet of Bremerton, WA, Debbie (Mark) Leader of Bainbridge Island, Washington and Cindy Tobin of Mount Vernon. She is grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren (including baby on the way would make it 11) and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Kyle and her grandson Mark. She moved from Mount Vernon after Kyle's death to Ephrata, Washington and then to Moses Lake. She spent the last years of her life at Hearthstone Assisted Living where she found a new side of herself. She wrote poems and short stories and even had a poem published. She enjoyed people, playing cards and bingo at Hearthstone.

Jonathan, 52, was born in Moses Lake, Washington to John and Joyce McDowell, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Moses Lake, Washington, and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1989. In June 1991 he enlisted in the Navy where he served on the USS Independence and the USS Bunker Hill with an honorable discharge in December 1995. After the Navy he went to Central Washington University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in law and justice. He decided on the career of food and beverage, and began his career with The Moses Lake Golf and Country Club, then at the Walla Walla Country Club, and went on to become the director of food and beverage at Campbell’s Resort in Chelan, Washington.

Lanny H. Starr, 81, of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on Feb. 11, 2023, from long-term effects of diabetes. He died in his sleep as a patient of Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington. Lanny was born on Jan. 26, 1942, in Tremonton, Box Elder, Utah. He was the first son of Carl Henry and Nola Hopkins Starr. Lanny married Arlene (Smith) Starr on Dec. 20, 1967, for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple.

Vivian Michelle Richard, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 18, 2023. She was born May 23, 1960, to Charles and Marcella Richard. She attended school in Orangevale, California; Hermiston, Oregon; and Othello, Washington. She moved to Moses Lake after living in Hermiston, Oregon and remained here the rest of her life. She was working for Windermere Property Management at the time of her death where she had been dedicated to her tenants and property owners for many years. She was a member of the Lioness Club of Moses Lake for many years, serving as the president of the organization for one term.
