MOSES LAKE — Melissa Klitzke of Moses Lake has been named vice president and relationship manager for the commercial banking team at Washington Trust Bank, according to an announcement from the bank. Klitzke, who grew up in the Basin and has more than 24 years’ experience in banking, was most recently with Banner Bank, where she served as vice president and relationship manager to serve small- to mid-sized business owners and commercial clients, according to the announcement.

Floyd Dean Best, Sr. (age 74) was born March 27, 1938 to Basil and June Best in Colville, WA. He passed away on June 23, 2012 in Spokane. Floyd started his military career at a young age by joining the marines, and then transferred to the Army, retiring after 21 years. He was very proud of his military service. Floyd was married for 37 years to Christa. He is survived by their two children, Pamela (LaMonte L.) Moultray of Choteau, Montana, and his son Floyd Dean Best, Jr of Moses Lake, WA; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; his siblings: Lorrain Cress of Tumbler Ridge, B.C., Canada, Elmer (Bud) Koerner of Chewelah, Washington, Lois (Philip) Hollabough of Colville, Washington, Lavernia (Mike) Elwell of Desmet, Idaho, and Cindy (Tony) Gordon of Thorpe, Washington, and friend James in Medical Lake, Washington.
