David “Dave” L. Mathews, 55, of Malaga, Washington, passed away on July 29, 2022. He was born to parents Floy and David Mathews Sr. on Aug. 1, 1967 in Moses Lake, Washington.
He graduated from Moses Lake High School, Moses Lake, Washington in 1985. David met Cari in 1983. They were married in 1989 in Moses Lake, Washington. Together they raised two children, Amanda Mathews Scott and Michael Mathews.
David worked for Mathews Steel Buildings before branching out on his own business, Legacy Construction Group, until his illness forced him to retire.
He enjoyed hunting, golf, camping, boating with friends, Kiss concerts, Seahawks games, four-wheeling, traveling, pranking people, Crown Royal and smoking cigars.
David is survived by his mother Floy and father Dave Sr., wife Cari, daughter Amanda (Kenneth, grandson Jude) Scott, son Michael (Javier Gonzales), brother Bruce (Michelle), Aunt Suz and numerous niece and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Lance and Darcie Pope's, 10377 Baseline Road NE, Moses Lake, Washington.
