Daniel "Dan" Karl Jeske, 80, lifelong resident of Warden and Moses Lake, went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, May 27, 2007, following a 17 year battle with cancer.

Brent Alfred Marshall

Brent Alfred Marshall, 60, longtime Warden resident, passed away at home Sunday, May 20, 2007, with family by his side. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden with Bishop Fred Ruge of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints conducting. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 23, from noon until 7 p.m. and Thursday, May 24, from 8 a.m. until noon.

Jerry was born in Tacoma, Wash., to Edith and Arthur Boyle. He attended Bellarmine High School and St. Martins College where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in education. Jerry married Frances Ann Marz in April of 1955, and they had four daughters. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2005, with family and friends in attendance.

Rose Antonine Polito

Rose Antonine Polito is now with our Lord. Rose was born Jan. 29, 1913, in Roseland, Ill., to Serafino "Sam" and Anna (LaForte) Carapezza formerly of Termini Imerese, Sicily, Italy. She passed away peacefully at the Avalon Care Center in Othello on May 4, 2007. Rose lived in many places during her 94 years, sang in many choirs and made many friends. Services will be held in her memory at all of her Catholic Churches. Preceding Rose in death are her brothers, Thomas and Vito, her sisters, Mary, Grace and Margaret and her loving husband Edward T. Polito. Her final resting place will be next to her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, Ill. Taking care of her final arrangements are her nephew, Donald J. (Sheila) Polito, of Florence, Ore. and her great-nephew Paul (Cathy) Polito of Moses Lake. Rose is survived by over 100 nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to help with Rose's funeral arrangements and to benefit St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital in care of Paul Polito, 5657 Crystal Springs Pl., Moses Lake. Sharon Caroline Taylor, 63, longtime Moses Lake resident and owner of Woody's Drive-In, passed away, Friday, May 7, 2007, at Samaritan Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rose Street Chapel with Bishop Daniel Hope presiding. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at Kayser's Chapel of Memories on Wednesday, May 9, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Douglas Scott Bollman, 42, suddenly moved on to be with the Lord on April 6, 2007, after residing in Moses Lake the past two years. Doug was bom in Edmonds, Wash., on June 13, 1964. He moved to Bellevue, Wash., in 1968 where he attended Clyde Hill Elementary, Chinook Junior High, Bellevue High and Sammamish High and Bellevue Community College.

Mildred 'Millie' Peterson Heath

Millie passed away April 22, 2007, in Spokane after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 28, 1920, to John and Effie (Morgan) Peterson in Marcus, Wash., and was raised in Spokane. She graduated from John R. Rogers High School in December 1937, just a few months after she turned 17. She attended Eastern Washington College for two quarters before entering the University of Washington in the fall of 1938. Millie graduated from the UW with a bachelor of science degree in nursing in August of 1942, eight months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and enlisted in the Navy Nurse Corps.

George E. Duncan

George E. Duncan, 61, passed away on April 20, 2007, in Othello. He was bom on April 29, 1945, in Durango, Colo., to Ed and Louise Garcia Duncan. He lived in Durango until age 4. The family moved to Buhl, Idaho, then on to Burley, Idaho, where George graduated from high school in 1963. He joined the Idaho National Guard when he was 17 and remained in the National Guard until 1970. In 1970 George moved to Othello, where his parents had relocated several years earlier. He attended Eastern Washington State College at Cheney and received a Bachelor of Science at Central Washington College at Ellensburg. He also had a pharmacy technician certification. George received his teaching credentials and substituted in many area schools and had various other jobs. He was active for many years in the Nazarene Church youth group. George enjoyed fishing, golf, reading, bowling, playing cards, country western music and watching western movies. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. George is survived by his loving wife Karen Larson of 8 years; his three sisters Liz (Tom) Ferguson, Othello; May Duncan, Vacaville, Calif.; and Loretta Torres of the Tri-Cities; and one brother David (Peggy) Duncan, Moses Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Lee. Memorial Services will be held at the Othello Nazarene Church in Othello on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name are suggested to the Diabetes Association or the Othello School District. Simon 'Sam' Kasparek

The Mass of Christian burial for Simon "Sam" Kasparek, age 91 of Lemmon, will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lemmon with Fr Brian Fawcett officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Ranch Cemetery south of White Butte with full military honors afforded by the Brattvet-Green American Legion Post of Lemmon.
