MOSES LAKE - Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna is visiting Moses Lake Saturday as part of his campaign for the 2012 governor's race.
Fishing Magician Report - April 25
This is a huge weekend for anglers. It's the opening of the lowland lake fishing season and thousands of anglers will be hitting the lakes in our region, primarily looking for trout. I will be out checking on the lakes and to see how anglers are doing on Saturday, and on Sunday I will be at the annual yard sale held by the Central Washington Bass Club.

MEDICAL LAKE – The State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake has announced that it will hold a Forgotten Heroes interment ceremony April 29 at 2 p.m. to put to rest the remains of veterans not claimed by family members.
Soap Lake man injured in collision
A Soap Lake man was injured Saturday evening in a three-vehicle collision on state Route 17, south of Ephrata, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Man airlifted after dirt bike-vehicle collision
MOSES LAKE — A man was airlifted to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee after his dirt bike collided with a car Monday morning near Moses Lake. Don Palmen was driving south on Moon Drive NE near the Moses Lake city limits at about 8:30 a.m. Monday when he hit a car, according to information from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the car, Lily Knowles, was driving east on Dorothy Street NE. The GCSO report said Palmen failed to stop at the stop sign on Moon Drive. Palmen was treated at the scene and was later transported to CWH. Knowles and her passenger were not injured, the GCSO report said.
Moses Lake issues Kindness Week, Day proclamation
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake on Tuesday at the city’s regular council meeting joined Grant County and the state of Washington in issuing proclamations naming the week of Feb. 16-23 as Kindness Week and Feb. 17 as Kindness Day.
Ferguson sues to block grocery merger
SEATTLE — Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson has filed a lawsuit to block the merger of the two largest supermarket corporations in the state, according to an announcement from Ferguson’s office.

MOSES LAKE — On a night where all of Washington exercised its right to vote and prevailing winds created from nearby wildfires left a haze in the air that accented a spectacular sunset over central Washington, Moses Lake celebrated a National Night Out in Sinkiuse Square.
William (Bill) Arthur Mackey
William (Bill) Arthur Mackey, 77, passed away Nov. 19 in the comfort of his own home. A funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Rose Street Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1036 W. Rose Ave. Everyone is welcome to join in the celebration of his life. Interment to follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Bill was born Jan. 19, 1945, in Seattle, Washington, son of the late Arthur and Eleanor Mackey. The family moved to Moses Lake when he was 6 years old and he has called Moses Lake his home since then. Bill attended Knolls Vista Elementary and Frontier Middle School, and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1963. After high school he attended Columbia Basin Technical College and earned his associate's degree. He worked for many years at A&H Printers, Biffanos, Webco, Walmart, and his favorite job, running the concession stands for Moses Lake High School and Big Bend Community College. He also enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter for many years as well as volunteering at the Grant County Fair, and as a 4-H leader for the 89ers 4-H club.

Lamar 'Melvin' Kissler
Passed away on August 19, 2010 in Odessa, Washington. He was born in Odessa on January 8, 1922 to Jacob and Katherine (Homberg) Kissler.

Jaylynn Ramonita Reyes-Bonner, residing in Rugby, North Dakota, and originally from Moses Lake, Washington, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021, tragically and unexpectedly at the much-too-early age of 21.
