Elisabeth Mae Johnson, 87, of Moose Lake, MN formerly of Moses Lake, WA, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake, MN. She was born April 12, 1923 in Brainerd, MN to Peter and Bessie Johnson, daughter of Lars and Anna Kristofferson. A graduate of Saint Olaf College, Northfield, MN, she was united in marriage to Jean R. Johnson on April 12, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN. Elisabeth and Jean moved to Washington where she was an elementary school teacher and raised 6 children. In 2002, they moved to Moose Lake, MN. Elisabeth was an author and wrote the novel, “Lars and Anna, A Love Story”. She also wrote devotionals at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Moses Lake, WA. Elisabeth was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church, Moose Lake, MN. She was also very accomplished in Rosemaling.

He was the 8th of 9 children (3 sisters and 5 brothers). Growing up on the family farm taught him a life-long habit of hard work.

Kenneth M. Wedge, born in El Monte, California on August 21,1939 to William and Madeline Wedge. He was one of four siblings, two older brothers, and a younger sister. His love of cars had him working on and speeding around Southern California until his late twenties. Looking to start a family, he moved to Montana with his new wife and raised two boys. He relocated to Nevada in the late 80's, during the Las Vegas construction boom, where he worked, prospered and retired out of Laborer Union 872 in 1994. After retiring, he built custom wood furniture and turned that deep passion into a profession. He started a Los Vegas business called "Wedge Woodworks" with his youngest son. The business lasted for nine years.

Michael Clark Pierce (60) passed away surrounded by family and friends in Grand Coulee, Washington Tuesday evening September 2, 2014 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 4, 1954 into the Coulee Dam Washington home of Frank and Barbara (Vail) Pierce, Michael graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School in 1972, where he enjoyed playing sports, particularly basketball. Following high school, Michael attended college, worked for the park service for several years and most recently was employed as a sales representative for a custodial supply company. An avid hunter, Michael enjoyed spending time boating and camping, but especially loved spending time with his family and many friends, who have particularly fond memories of times spent around his shuffleboard table.
