Karen M. Whitney-Deleon was called home by the Lord on Wednesday morning Aug. 22, 2018, during her two-month illness at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Wash. Karen was 55 years old. She leaves behind her loving husband of 10 years Benny Deleon, her mother Violet Whitney, her brother Ed and her cousin Dixie Flores (aka Sis) who helped care for her several months prior to her death. She is preceded in death by her father Clyde Whitney and numerous aunts and uncles.

George Edmond Hill, 81, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at his home. George was born in Rigby, Idaho on November 18, 1934. He was the youngest of five children and grew up on the family farm. He attended Ricks College where he met his sweet wife, Royce Damron. They married in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 21, 1953. In 1954, they moved to the Columbia Basin. George worked at the sugar beet factory, ran a gas station, and farmed in Warden for three decades. They raised their six children on the farm before becoming a successful business owner in Moses Lake. George loved working in the temple with Royce. He served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Maria Robles Gaeta, age 80, of Othello, Wash., passed away Nov. 15, 2016 in Kennewick, Wash. She was born in Nostic, Jalisco, Mexico on July 4, 1936 to Jose Robles Montes and Margarita Alvarez Quintanilla. She grew up in Mexico with her two sisters, Margarita and Socorro. She finished school and worked as an elementary school teacher at the Sub Urbana No. 29 elementary school in Mezquitic, Jalisco, for a number of years before she was married.
