Kathy Brandt-Taylor

| December 13, 2013 5:00 AM

Kathy Brandt-Taylor went peacefully to be with Jesus on December 7, 2013 with her family surrounding her. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p. m., Saturday, December 14, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 9485 North Maple Street, Hayden, Idaho.

Kathy was born in Lewiston, Idaho on February 17, 1948 to Lee and Geraldine Smith and moved with her family to Omak, Washington where she met and married Cleo Brandt. Three years later she gave birth to their son, Doug. Cleo developed Lou Gehrig's Disease and Kathy and Doug faithfully cared for him until his death in 1997. After Cleo's passing she went on an adventure to Europe. She had the time of her life making new friends and seeing places she had only read about and seen in pictures. Kathy later met and married long time Moses Lake resident Brian Taylor. After a short time in Moses Lake they moved to Hayden, Idaho where they have resided for the past 15 years.

Kathy worked at T.J. Max for the last 9 years. Kathy enjoyed flowers, plants and gardening. She and Brian beautifully landscaped their home in Hayden. She volunteered her abilities by helping in the garden club. Giving to others was a part of Kathy's every day life. She had a caring heart and concern for everyone. She enjoyed giving gifts for no occasion, blessing many with her generosity. Kathy loved spending time with her granddaughter, Victoria as they baked, shopped and painted their nails together. Reading too was entertaining and fulfilling. Her favorite books were from the Victorian period.

Kathy was loved deeply by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House of North Idaho, 9493 North Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835.

Kathy is survived by her husband Brian Taylor of Hayden, Idaho, her son Doug Brandt and granddaughter Victoria, of Moses Lake.
