MOSES LAKE — No matter how you look at it, real estate is serious business. When you’re dealing with land, one of the most basic things a person can own, and the hundreds of thousands of dollars it costs, you have to place a lot of trust in the person who’s putting the deal together for you. That’s why Realtors go to great lengths to make sure their profession is viewed with trust. That word “Realtor” is capitalized for a reason. Not everybody who buys and sells land can call themselves that. In the United States, the word is trademarked by the National Association of Realtors, and that organization defines it as a “a real estate professional who is member of the National Association of Realtors and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.” That Code of Ethics is eight pages long and details a Realtor’s obligations to their clients, the general public and other Realtors. These folks take their reputation seriously. Stanley A Mill

Stanley A Mill, age 85, of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in San Bernadino, California on June 19, 1925 to Wilbur and Leona Mill. He entered the Navy at age 16 and served in the South Pacific during WWII and was later reactivated during the Korean War. He met and married Iris Hill on April 11, 1946. They lived in Washington and California in the early years and later moved to Curlew, Washington where Stanley started his career as a civilian with the Air Force. This profession took him and his family to many locations around the United States. He finally ended his career at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington where he retired in 1980 after 30 years of federal service. His passions in life, besides his family, were fishing and hunting. He took advantage of every change in location to seek out the best fishing holes or trophy wildlife. Stanley is survived by his wife of 64 years, Iris. He is also survived by his younger sister, Hazel Jackman (Donald); his three children, Pat Christensen (Keith); Terry Walsh (Michael); Jesse Mill (Jeani); 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Kubosumi and his staff at the Moses Lake Clinic and the Samaritan Hospital second floor staff for their kindness in caring for their husband and father. There will be a private family celebration of his life.

Joe Agbisit of Moses Lake went home to the Lord on Oct. 18, 2022. He was born Sept. 17, 1934, in Billings, Montana. When he was a young boy his parents and two sisters moved to Washington and settled in the Yakima Valley and turned to farming, raising vegetables for market. Joe attended school and graduated high school in Wapato, Washington. He was a member of the FFA club and farmed on his own, receiving many awards for his achievements. He was very active in the Filipino-American community in Wapato.
