On Sept. 20, 2007, Ruth went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ruth was born June 18, 1928, to Harry Andrew and Anna Marie (Duffin) DeVries in Leavenworth, Wash., and was raised in Portland, Ore.
Irwin (Irv) Gustav Toler
Irwin (Irv) Gustav Toler, 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his home outside Soap Lake, Wash. He was born January 28, 1919, in Winchester, Wash., and moved to Whatcom County in 1926. He graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1938, and attended his 74th class reunion there in September 2012. He served in the Army in the South Pacific during WWII and lived in the Ephrata/Soap Lake area since 1946 where he farmed, worked, and hunted (his 3 favorite things but not in that order).

Moses Lake man arrested for residential burglary
MOSES LAKE – Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Darrell Smith of Moses Lake on Friday at a residence in the 4400 block of Shorecrest Drive Northeast.
Community Involvement
An active member of the Grant County Bar Association, Benton-Franklin County Bar Association, the Washington State Association for Justice and the Knights of Columbus, Bryce makes tremendous effort to be part of the Moses Lake and eastern Washington communities. In addition to being a member of these organizations, from 2008 through 2013, Bryce was head coach of the Moses Lake Christian Academy girls’ basketball team. Under Bryce’s leadership, the team earned the school’s first berth to State, was two time District champions, made the State Regional Round three times, and in his final three seasons, finished 20-5 (2010-2011), 19-4 (2011-2012), and 20-4 (2012-2013). Currently, Bryce works with the Northwest Express, where he works with some of the top high school players in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

Enrique (Rick) Vasquez
Enrique (Rick) Vasquez was born on July 10, 1969 and passed away October 29, 2010 at his home in Newport News VA. Born into a musical family, Rick carried that love of music into his adult life. He played guitar for many bands in his career, most notably The Right On Band. He had the great honor to play for two US presidents, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Rick is survived by his girlfriend Shirley Noel, brothers Raymond and Mario Vasquez, parents Ramon Vasquez Sr and Esperanza Minitani and grandfather Jesus Gonzales Sr. He is also survived by half brothers and sisters Vanessa, Erik, Hermelinda, Ashley, Ramona, Aaron and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Rick will be greeted in heaven by very special family members, including both of his grandmothers Isadora Gonzales and Aurelia Vasquez. Rick will always be know for his great love of music and life and will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him.

Dale William Sielaff — July 26, 1929 to Aug. 8. Dale passed away Tuesday morning in his home of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Engel Maria and father August Sielaff; wife Elaine and son Gregory; two brothers: Lester and Harold Sielaff; and one sister, Lillian Meske. He is survived by one sister, Amanda Niederkliene of Spokane; one brother, Walter Sielaff of Kettle Falls; son John Sielaff and his daughter-in-law Jackie Sielaff of Hermiston, Ore.; four grandchildren, Amber, Josi, Jacque and Cala; and seven great-grandchildren.
