Irwin (Irv) Gustav Toler

Irwin (Irv) Gustav Toler, 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his home outside Soap Lake, Wash. He was born January 28, 1919, in Winchester, Wash., and moved to Whatcom County in 1926. He graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1938, and attended his 74th class reunion there in September 2012. He served in the Army in the South Pacific during WWII and lived in the Ephrata/Soap Lake area since 1946 where he farmed, worked, and hunted (his 3 favorite things but not in that order).

He was preceded death by his mother and father, Cora (Hoff) and Ed Toler; his loving wife Wilma; son Lonnie; granddaughter Ambyr Jo Kellams; son-in-law Blair Barney; and half-brother Clarence Toler. He is survived by four daughters: Linda Barney of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Jeri (Paul) Hinen, Dalene Halley, and Marna (Scott) Kellams all of Soap Lake; 14 grandchildren: Darren Hinen, Shanna (Erik) Phillips, Jessica (Rob) Herron, Tammi (Jeff) Hammond, Chris Kimber, Rebecca Halley, Amanda (Rob) Christensen, Zachary

Kellams, Leah (Derrick) Foley, Jessie Anna (Kelly) Johnson, Lorraine Toler, Danielle Toler, Kelli Toler, Jackson Miller; 18 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Nadine Hansen (95), Norma Bruget (93), and Jerry Toler (91); numerous nieces and nephews that were all very special to him; and special friends, Gary Mansford and David Waterson.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Bread of Life, 140 14th Ave. NW, Ephrata. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to World Outreach Ministry Foundation with a designation of either the orphanage or school at PO Box 23267, Federal Way, WA 98093-0267; or Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, or the charity of your choice.
