Ruth Ann Manor, age 101, a longtime Moses Lake resident passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Norma Thayer Reed
Norma Thayer Reed, 84, died peacefully at home in Moses Lake on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007. Norma was born Jan. 9, 1923, in Choctaw, Okla., to Edwin and Julia McWilliams Thayer. Norma retired after 26 dedicated years as a secretary from McDonnell Douglas. She served as Royal Matron of Charity Court, Order of the Amaranth in the year of 1968 through 1969. She was a member of the Crossroads Community Bible Church of Mannford, Okla. She had a passion for genealogy and spent over 40 years researching her family. She is the beloved mother of two daughters and one son. Norma is survived by her two daughters, Jackie (James) Piper, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Shari (Charlie) Laibl, of Moses Lake, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, one son, James Dotson and her husband Cecil Eugene Reed. Burial was held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, Okla. Arrangements in care of Affordable Funeral Options, Moses Lake.

Polly, as her friends knew her, died peacefully in her sleep on June 2, 2009, at her home in Startup, Washington. She was 96 years and 7 months old. Polly was still very active making quilt tops and cooking up until about 2 weeks before her death.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasanton. Rev. Dean Hanson will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Washington state. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements.

Fernando S. Flores, 75, beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him left to be with the Lord on May 7. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden. Viewing will take place at the church on Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.

Oscar Grable, Jr. ,84, went to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, with his family nearby. Funeral services will not be held upon Oscar's request. However, family and friends will celebrate a great life lived in the spring of 2007 with a private graveside service in Ephrata.

She passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Catholic Church in Warden, WA. With Father Felipe officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden, WA. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake, WA. Ruth L. Hay (94) Born October 24, 1917 in Webster County, Nebraska to William L. and Bertha M. Worley, died December 5, 2011 at Mercer Island, Washington. Predeceased by two husbands: Nuton "Al" Elkins and Bill Hay; Ruth's legacy lives on through her son: Richard Elkins (Elizabeth); daughter: Joanne White (George); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and sisters: Rowene Easter and Avos Roedel (Vic). Ruth worked for many years for the Bureau of Reclamation, Personnel Department, both in Grand Coulee Dam and Ephrata. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at Sunrise Assisted Living, Mercer Island, December 15, 7:00pm. Ruth's family requests that any donations be made in her name to Mercer Island Covenant Church, PO Box 2, 3200 78th Ave SE, Mercer Island, Washington 98040. Graceyn LeeAnn Stutsman, aged 8 weeks, died in her mother's arms at Seattle Children's Hospital, in Seattle, WA on Monday, June 2, 2014 surrounded by her family. After struggling with multiple organ failure from an interrupted SIDS episode, she passed gently into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ.
