LTC Roger Joseph Arango, Jr. (US Army, Ret.), passed away peacefully on August 8, 2022, in Ellensburg, Washington at the age of 80. Consistent with Roger’s wishes, there will be no memorial service, and he will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with honors befitting his service to our country. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Yakima Greenway Foundation, an organization Roger loved and supported until his passing. David was born on March 12, 1965, in San Diego, CA to Rondo and Margaret Reid Scott. They moved to Othello, Washington in 1976 where in 1983 David graduated from Othello High School. David attended Spokane Community College earning an AA degree in Diesel Mechanics. After college he married his high school sweetheart Carol Gonzalez on August 10, 1985. They moved to Pasco where David went to work for Campbell and Co. as an HVAC Commercial Sales representative. A job he held until the time of his death.
