Kjell Johan Abrahamsen
Kjell was born in Seattle June 28, 1955 and passed away at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland last Monday with Mary Wilson at his side. He graduated from Ingraham High School in 1973 and was a member of the varsity football team. He went on to Everett Community College where he also played football for two years, subsequently transferring to Western Washington University and graduating in 1979 with a degree in history.
Moses Lake man arrested in attempted murder case
MOSES LAKE – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Luis Angel Ortega Tuesday morning after an what investigators describe as an attempted murder last Friday night. Ortega is lodged in Grant County Jail for suspicion of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree robbery, and second-degree attempted murder.

MOSES LAKE — A good time was had by all at the annual Moses Lake Roundup Rodeo banquet held at the Elks Lodge Saturday. More than 200 people were on hand for the prime rib and chicken cordon bleu dinner prepared by Divito Catering and Top Gun Concessions out of Wilson Creek, and awards ceremony that followed.

Having being drafted 214th overall in 1978 by the Seattle Mariners and spending 31 years as a fishing guide, Graser has – needless to say – seen a lot and met a lot of interesting people. EPHRATA — Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison has released the identities of the two fatally-shot victims from the Sunday evening shooting at The Gorge Amphitheatre’s campground and Grant County Sheriff Joe Kriete has identified the alleged shooter. “The suspect is 26-year-old James M. Kelly of Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He was hospitalized for a gunshot wound and was returned to Grant County today where he is lodged in the Grant County Jail. He is held for investigation of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and one count of first-degree assault domestic violence,” Kriete said...
