Mary Louise Oakley

| October 5, 2021 1:00 AM

May 31, 1942 – August 23, 2021

Mary Louise Oakley passed away at home Monday night, Aug. 23, after a lengthy and arduous battle against the ravages of Alzheimer’s.

She was born May 31, 1942, to her parents Harold and Mildred Hoggatt, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two brothers Glenn and Bob, one sister Eileen, and two children Richard and Marie.

She is survived by her husband Mark Oakley; one son Jeff Oakley of Ellensburg; seven grandchildren Kindra, Rochelle, Jared, Mat, Caleb, Claira and Colton, and four great-grandchildren.

Mary had a spirit of kindness that she showed to those she felt needed some extra help and some sharp words of direction to those who were slacking off and not living up to their potential. She loved gardening and her horses and taught her fishing husband, Mark, the joy to be found in pleasure riding.

The family requests that no flowers be sent, but rather donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation directly or to Mark.
